Lionsgate has acquired Chris Thomas Devlin’s horror spec script “Video Nasty” with Seth Rogen slated to produce and Jonathan Levine (“Long Shot,” “50/50”) eyeing to potentially direct.
The story centers on three teens who rent a cursed VHS and are pulled into an 1980s slasher movie that threatens to trap them forever. No cast has been set.
Evan Goldberg, Josh Fagen, Greg Silverman, Jon Berg, Gillian Bohrer and James Weaver will also produce.
