Netflix has renewed its romantic comedy series “Emily in Paris” for a second season and leading lady Lily Collins is expected to return to production next spring on location in Paris.
Originally developed for TV Land by “Sex and the City” creator Darren Star, the series follows a young American woman who lands a dream job working in Paris where she becomes involved in professional and romantic entanglements.
Since its October 2nd debut, the series has been a word-of-mouth hit for the streamer despite mixed reviews. The French press has slammed the show for perpetuating stereotypes and glorifying an unrealistic version of Paris.
That’s not the only renewal today as FOX has formally renewed its competition series “Lego Masters” for a second season. The Will Arnett-hosted series will go into production again spring 2021 ahead of a premiere later next year.
Judges Amy Corbett and Jamie Berard are also due to return to the show which was among the top-rated new series of 2019-20 and averaged 9.7 million viewers across all platforms.
