Mohamed Dib To Direct “Moon Knight”

Egyptian filmmaker Mohamed Diab (“Clash,” “Cairo 678”) has been set as director of the upcoming Marvel Studios series “Moon Knight” on the Disney+ streaming service.

Diab’s hire follows Oscar Isaac being cast as the lead in the series which follows Marc Spector, an ex-Marine turned mercenary whose multiple alter egos allow him to better fight crime.

Jeremy Slater (“The Umbrella Academy”) is overseeing the series and will lead the writer’s room. The show is one of several in the works alongside the already shot “WandaVision” and “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier,” the currently in production “Loki,” and the soon to shoot “Ms. Marvel” and “She-Hulk”.
