Netflix has released two new photos from the second season of its acclaimed fantasy series “The Witcher,” the new shots offering a look at Freya Allan’s Ciri training with Geralt of Rivia (Henry Cavill).
Based on the best-selling novel series by Andrzej Sapkowski, which was previously turned into a celebrated video game series and now a popular TV streaming series, the streamer has also offered a new synopsis:
“Convinced Yennefer’s life was lost at the Battle of Sodden, Geralt of Rivia brings Princess Cirilla to the safest place he knows, his childhood home of Kaer Morhen. While the Continent’s kings, elves, humans and demons strive for supremacy outside its walls, he must protect the girl from something far more dangerous: the mysterious power she possesses inside.”
“The Witcher” is expected to return early next year as production on the second season continues.
