Ten months after the release of the first trailer, 20th Century Studios has premiered the second for the Ryan Reynolds-led action-comedy “Free Guy”.
The story follows a lonely bank teller who discovers he is actually a background character in an open-world video game entitled Free City and works to prevent the makers of the game from shutting it down with the help of an avatar.
Jodie Comer, Lil Rel Howery, Taika Waititi, Utkarsh Ambudkar and Joe Keery co-star. Shawn Levy helms the film from a script by Matt Lieberman. Originally slated for a July release, it is currently on track for a December 11th theatrical opening.
