After teasing us with just the backs of their heads in the first teaser, Netflix has unveiled a bunch of new photos from the fourth season of “The Crown” showcasing first looks at Gillian Anderson as then newly elected Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, and Emma Corrin as Princess Diana.
The royal drama returns with Anderson’s Thatcher navigating an, at times, uneasy relationship with Queen Elizabeth II (Olivia Colman). Corrin’s Diana meanwhile becomes romantically entwined with and eventually marries Prince Charles (Josh O’Connor).
Production on the new season wrapped in March and marks the current cast’s final turn as the British royal family. The roles are all being recast for the fifth season with Imelda Staunton taking over as Elizabeth.
“The Crown” returns with the full new season on Netflix on November 15th.
