The new Hawkeye herself Kate Bishop has been revealed as the first DLC post-launch character of the upcoming “Marvel’s Avengers” video game.
Ashly Burch voices the character who will appear in Operation Taking Aim which will “directly advance from the conclusion of the Reassemble campaign” and add a new villain to the mix.
The reveal comes after it has been announced that plans to reveal Black Panther as a playable character for the game this week have been postponed out of respect for a “fallen true hero” – the late Chadwick Boseman.
It’s expected both Black Panther and Spider-Man will make their debuts in their own DLC packs at later date with Spidey’s being a PlayStation-exclusive.
Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics’ game begins at A-Day, where Captain America, Iron Man, the Hulk, Black Widow, and Thor are unveiling a hi-tech Avengers Headquarters in San Francisco – including the reveal of their own helicarrier powered by an experimental energy source. The celebration turns deadly when a catastrophic accident results in massive devastation.
Blamed for the tragedy, the Avengers disband. Five years later, with all Super Heroes outlawed and the world in peril, the only hope is to reassemble Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.
“Marvel’s Avengers” will release simultaneously for PS4, Xbox One, Stadia, and PC on September 4th and hits the next-generation of consoles – PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X – in late 2020.
