Joel Edgerton, Marion Cotillard, Mark Rylance, Sebastian Stan and Vanessa Kirby are all set to star in “Vox Lux” and “Childhood of a Leader” director Brady Corbet’s next film – the large scale immigrant drama “The Brutalist”.
Isaach De Bankole, Alessandro Nivola, Raffey Cassidy and Stacy Martin also star in the film which Corbet co-wrote with Mona Fastvold. The story chronicles three decades in the life of a visionary architect named Laszlo Toth (Edgerton) and his wife Erzsebet (Cotillard) who flee post-war Europe to rebuild their legacy and witness the birth of modern America.
However, their lives are changed forever by a mysterious and wealthy client (Rylance). Filming is set to get underway in January 2021 and will incorporate English, Yiddish, Hungarian and some Italian languages. Corbet’s latest movie “The World To Come” premieres this week at the Venice Film Festival.
Andrew Lauren, Brian Young, Trevor Matthews, Nick Gordon, D.J. Gugenheim, Christine Vachon, Pamela Koffler, and David Hinojosa are producing.
