R.I.P. Chadwick Boseman

“Black Panther and “42” star Chadwick Boseman has died.

The 43-year-old actor passed away at his home in the Los Angeles area with his wife and family by his side according to his publicist Nicki Fioravante.

Boseman was diagnosed with colon cancer four years ago, his family said in a statement. His family said in a statement: “A true fighter, Chadwick persevered through it all, and brought you many of the films you have come to love so muc. From Marshall to Da 5 Bloods, August Wilson’s Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom and several more- all were filmed during and between countless surgeries and chemotherapy. It was the honor of his career to bring King T’Challa to life in Black Panther.”

The actor had not spoken publicly about his diagnosis. His other film credits beyond several movies in the Marvel Studios line-up include “Marshall,” “21 Bridges,” “Draft Day,” “Gods of Egypt,” “Get On Up,” “Message from the King” and more recently Spike Lee’s “Da 5 Bloods” and the upcoming “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom”.

Our sincerest condolences go out to all his family and friends.
