South Korean director Yeon Sang-ho will reportedly explore more stories within the “Train to Busan” universe following the theatrical release of “Peninsula” reports EW.
Yeon says he’s ready to start working on a new spin-off film, one that would focus on the lives of the “many other survivors who live on the peninsula”. However he admits he may step back a bit for the next outing -“I may not be directing the movie myself, but I would like to start working on a new movie within this framework.”
“Train to Busan Presents: Peninsula” opened yesterday in select U.S. theaters. The film has earned an impressive $27 million in South Korea in the month since it was released there.
