Previously working together on “Always Be My Maybe,” actors Daniel Dae Kim and Randall Park are reuniting to lead a currently untitled heist film with a primarily Asian American cast at Amazon Studios.
Penned by Young Il Kim (“Billions”), the story will center on a reunion of high school friends who assemble for a heist with the tone said to be in the vein of “classic, fun ensemble heist films”.
There’s also nods to the likes of “Ocean’s 11” and “Better Luck Tomorrow” along with highlighting elements of community and friendship. Park is set to produce alongside Kim and John Cheng.
