Paper Gods
Musician John Legend and actress Nia Long are teaming for the new political drama series “Paper Gods” based on Goldie Taylor’s 2018 bestseller. The Sony Pictures TV series will capture a saga of power, race, and political intrigue, centered around Atlanta mayor Victoria Dobbs Overstreet as she teams up with a reporter to look into a series of murders, and ends up uncovering a political conspiracy. The Baby
HBO has handed out an eight-episode first season order for the darkly comic horror series “The Baby” from debut screenwriter Sian Robins-Grace (“Kaos,” “Sex Education”) and in co-production with Sky. Co-created with Lucy Gaymer (“Gangs of London”), the series follows a 38-year-old woman whose carefeee life implodes when she inherits a manipulative baby with violent powers who turns her life into a horror show. Vertical Cinema
Oscar-winning director Damien Chazelle (“La La Land,” “First Man”) has unveiled a commercial for Apple titled ‘Vertical Cinema’ which shows how to make vertical video look good. The nine-minute short film follows a stunt man through the history of Hollywood and is shot entirely on the iPhone 11 Pro in vertical video mode – using the limited aspect ratio to its fullest extent.

The One and Only Ivan
Walt Disney Studios has released a new clip for the live-action/CGI drama feature “The One and Only Ivan” in which Bryan Cranston’s character discovers the titular gorilla’s hidden talent for drawing. The feature is scheduled to make its debut on Friday, August 21st exclusively on Disney+.
