Nvidia has announced an event planned for September 1st at 9am US-PT/Noon ET where the famed computer graphics card maker “will highlight the company’s latest innovations in gaming and graphics”.
It’s widely expected that this will be the moment Nvidia will unveil its RTX 2080 and RTX 2080 Ti successors – the RTX 3000 series. Recent rumors have suggested the cards will be arriving to market sometime in September.
Nvidia founder and CEO Jensen Huang will be on hand for the event which follows on from the briefing they did in late August 2018 introducing the RTX 2000 series range which brought the first elements of real time ray tracing to video games.
The new cards are rumored to offer up to 24Gb VRAM and at least 50% performance boost over the current 2080 & 2080Ti models, and quite likely will go higher thanks to various new tech included.
