As part of an interview with Variety, recent EGOT achieving composer Alan Menken appeared to let slip that the upcoming Disney+ musical series about “Beauty and the Beast” villain Gaston will be titled “Little Town”.
Luke Evans and Josh Gad will reprise their roles of Gaston and Le Fou from the live-action film which grossed over $1 billion worldwide. This new musical series serves as a prequel and it hasn’t formally begun production.
Gad and co-creators Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz are spearheading the project with Menken contributing to the music. Menken is also involved in the upcoming live-action “The Little Mermaid” film which Rob Marshall is directing.
