HBO Asia has set its first original sci-fi commission, the eight-episode Taiwan-produced Mandarin language series “Dream Raider” which will kick off August 16th.
The story follows a misfit team of scientists and cops in the near future that are trying to get to the bottom of a criminal conspiracy that exploits human consciousness.
Things begin when detectives investigating a case of missing girls uncover a mysterious cutting-edge technology that enables them to enter the dreamscapes of others in search of the truth.
Daniel Fu and Simon Hung helm the series which stars David Wang, Vivian Hsu, Jason Wang, Weber Yang, Ellen Wu and Wu Ke-Xi. Soi Cheang (“The Monkey King 3”) executive produces.
