It’s official, Brad Dourif is returning as the voice of titular slasher doll Chucky for the upcoming TV series continuation of the franchise.
In the “Chucky” series, a vintage Chucky doll turns up at a suburban yard sale and soon an idyllic American town is thrown into chaos as a series of horrifying murders begin to expose the town’s hypocrisies and secrets.
Meanwhile, the arrival of enemies – and allies – from his past threatens to expose the truth behind the killings, as well as the demon doll’s untold origins as a seemingly ordinary child who somehow became this notorious monster.
Dourif has portrayed the role in all of the films bar last year’s standalone reboot. Don Mancini, who co-wrotee the first and penned the six sequels, is serving as showrunner and executive produces alongside David Kirschner and Nick Antoscia.
