Popular Japanese actor and singer Haruma Miura, probably best known in the west for his work in the lead role of Eren Jaeger in the live-action “Attack on Titan” film adaptations, has died at just 30 years old.
Kyodo News (via THR) reported that he was found in his Tokyo home on Saturday and was later pronounced dead upon arriving at a hospital. Investigators and police believe Miura died by suicide, but the cause of death has not been officially confirmed.
Miura reportedly left a note, but the contents have not been divulged. Miura was shooting the drama “Love Will Begin When Money Ends” at the time of his death. That is scheduled to air on the TBS network in September.
Other works include “Kimi ni Todoke,” “Gokusen 3,” “Koizora,” “Tokyo Park,” “Little Nights, Little Love” and an award-winning role in the local stage production of “Kinky Boots”.
