HBO has greenlit the limited series “Scenes From a Marriage,” a new adaptation of the 1973 Ingmar Bergman mini-series classic, which will both star and be executive produced by Michelle Williams and Oscar Isaac.
The project hails from “The Affair” co-creator Hagai Levi who will pen and direct the series which re-examines the iconic depiction of love, hatred, desire, monogamy, marriage and divorce through the lens of a contemporary American couple.
Williams, Isaac and Levi executive produce with Michael Ellenberg, Lars Blomgren, Daniel Bergman, Blair Breard and Amy Herzog. Media Res and Endeavor Content are backing the project.
