“Lovecraft,” “Lower Decks,” “Earp” Set Dates

It has been a big day for premiere dates to be announced for upcoming series.

Star Trek: Lower Decks
CBS All Access has announced a Thursday, August 6th premiere date for their first ever adult-animated series titled “Star Trek: Lower Decks”.

Hailing from “Solar Opposites” co-creator Mike McMahan, the series features the voices of Tawny Newsom and Jack Quaid and will follow the story of the support crew serving on one of Starfleet’s least important ships, the U.S.S. Cerritos, in 2380.

Ensigns Mariner, Boimler, Rutherford and Tendi have to keep up with their duties and their social lives, often while the ship is being rocked by a multitude of sci-fi anomalies.

Lovecraft Country
HBO has set an August 16th premiere date for the Jordan Peele & J.J. Abrams produced “Lovecraft Country”.

The series follows Atticus Freeman (Jonathan Majors) as he joins up with his friend Letitia (Jurnee Smollett-Bell) and his Uncle George (Courtney B. Vance) to embark on a road trip across 1950s Jim Crow America in search of his missing father (Michael Kenneth Williams).

This begins a struggle to survive and overcome both the racist terrors of white America and the terrifying monsters that could be ripped from a Lovecraft paperback.

Wynonna Earp
SYFY has released the official trailer for the fourth season of fan-favorite supernatural horror series “Wynonna Earp” which is scheduled to premiere on Sunday, July 26th.

In the new season the infamous Earp Curse is broken, and witty and wild demon hunter Wynonna Earp would love to be celebrating. Too bad she has to rescue everyone she loves, save the town of Purgatory, and take on her most diabolical, Earp-hating enemy yet.
