“Beavis and Butt-Head” Revival Ordered To Series

Over two decades since it ended its seven-season on MTV, Comedy Central has announced that they have officially given a two-season order to Mike Judge’s revival of his iconic adult-animated series “Beavis and Butt-Head”.

The project is part of Judge’s new expansive deal with the network, once that covers additional spin-offs and specials. Judge returns to recreate a cultural dialogue for a new generation, giving familiar fans and new audiences alike the chance to experience and laugh with the animated duo.

The series is set to “feature meta-themes that will be relatable to both new and old fans – Gen X parents and their Gen Z kids”. Also Comedy Central recently handed out a series order to the “Daria” spinoff series “Jodie” which is expected to share the same animated universe.

The original series ran on-air for seven seasons from 1993-1997 on MTV and became a pop culture phenom with its unadulterated and satirical commentary on youth and adolescence.
