Patton Oswalt will host a reunion of Amazon’s “The Boys” series cast and crew for a special to air this Friday 2pm US-ET during which the second season’s premiere date will be announced. The special also sees the cast talking Season 2 secrets, clips and saying the c-word a lot. [Source: Twitter]

Nancy Wu Done It
Amazon is developing “Nancy Wu Done It,” a new comedy dubbed “Pleasantville meets Nancy Drew”. Actresses and writers Kai Yu Wu (“Deception”) and Jessica Henwick (“Iron Fist”) are set to co-write. Both will executive produce with Roy Lee and Miri Yoon for Amazon Studios and Vertigo.

The story follows a frustrated Asian American young adult novelist who suddenly finds herself transported to one of her own books and must work with the titular character she created – and now hates – to solve an unfinished mystery. [Source: Variety]

The Painted Bird
IFC Films has set a theatrical and VOD release date for Vaclav Marhoul’s Czech black-and-white war drama “The Painted Bird” which stars Stellan Skarsgard, Harvey Keitel, Barry Pepper, Julian Sands and Udo Kier. The film will hit theaters, drive-ins, digital platforms and VOD on July 17th.

Based on the acclaimed Jerzy Kosiriski novel, the 35mm black and white film is set in eastern Europe at the close of World War II. The story follows The Boy who wanders through the countryside, from village to village struggling for survival and suffering through extraordinary brutality meted out by the ignorant, superstitious peasants and efficient, ruthless soldiers. No Man’s Land
North American rights for various films have just been picked up. IFC Films has scored Conor Allyn’s modern-day western “No Man’s Land” set along the U.S.-Mexico border starring Frank Grillo and Jake Allyn as a father-son on patrol when the son accidentally kills a Mexican immigrant boy and goes on a cross-country trek to seek forgiveness from the dead boy’s vengeful father.

Run Rabbit Run
STX has snagged worldwide distribution rights to Daina Reid’s “Run Rabbit Run” starring Elisabeth Moss. The Australia-set modern-day ghost story will follow Sarah, a fertility doctor, with a firm understanding of the cycle of life. When she is forced to make sense of the increasingly strange behavior of her young daughter Mia, she must challenge her own beliefs and confront a ghost from her past. [Source: Deadline]

Little Voice
Apple TV+ has debuted the full trailer for Bad Robot’s upcoming ten-episode coming-of-age drama “Little Voice” which is set to premiere July 10th and is dubbed a love letter to the diverse musicality of New York.

The story follows Bess King (Brittany O’Grady), a uniquely talented performer struggling to fulfil her dreams while navigating rejection, love, and complicated family issues. Grammy and Tony Award nominee Sara Bareilles is behind the music.
