Netflix has released the trailer for “Over the Moon,” a new animated musical feature starring the voices of Cathy Ang, Phillipa Soo, Robert G. Chiu, Ken Jeong, John Cho, Ruthie Ann Miles, Margaret Cho, Kimiko Glenn, Artt Butler, and Sandra Oh.
The story follows a young girl that is told a legend about the Moon Goddess, a being that lives on the Moon waiting for her true love. To prove her existence, the young girl builds a rocket ship to launch herself into outer space and ends up on an unexpected quest and discovers a whimsical land of fantastical creatures.
Animation veteran Glen Keane, who worked on classics like “The Little Mermaid” and “Beauty and the Beast” and recently won the Oscar for his animated short “Dear Basketball,” helms the film which will be released this Fall.
Netflix is set to release “Over the Moon” sometime this fall.
