“Jurassic World” filmmaker Colin Trevorrow has signed a deal for a new film about the mythical continent of Atlantis.
Trevorrow’s premise proposes that Atlantis is a lost continent located in the Indian Ocean where a multicultural civilization exists with advanced technology.
Trevorrow developed the concept with writer Matt Charman and the studio has hired “Edge of Tomorrow” and “Alien: Covenant” scribe Dante Harper to pen the work. The project has reportedly been in development for a few years.
Trevorrow is currently preparing to restart filming on “Jurassic World: Dominion” early next month. Of that film, actress Bryce Dallas Howard recently sang its praises – telling Collider: “The script was awesome, it was so exhilarating reading it.”
