“Lone Wolf” Game Books Become Series

ChorMedia and Holmgard Ltd have announced they are planning a live-action interactive series adaptation of Joe Dever’s popular fantasy-adventure gamebook series “Lone Wolf”.

Set in the fictional world of Magnamund, the series follows the adventures of the titular last surviving member of the Order of the Kai, an ancient caste of warrior monks who have mastered various natural and supernatural abilities.

The 32 books in the series have sold over 12 million copies worldwide over the past 35 years, and the series is in active development with Neil Chordia and Ben Devere producing. The plan is to use the interactive technology seen in the likes of Netflix’s “Black Mirror: Bandersnatch” for the series.

Dever died before he could conclude the series but left behind extensive notes with his son Ben and collaborator Vincent Lazzari.
