Belgian actor Matthias Schoenaerts (“The Mustang,” “Far from the Madding Crowd”) will play the lead in “Wildlands” from acclaimed director Kim Mordaunt (“The Rocket”) at Red Lamp Films and Hardy Son & Baker.
Schoenaerts will play a jaded bomb disposal specialist who gets a final chance at redemption when he is sent to Angola, Africa – one of the most heavily mined countries in the world.
Mordaunt and John Collee (“Hotel Mumbai”) penned the script using Mordaunt’s deep knowledge of the bomb disposal world across Asia and Africa.
Tom Hardy and Dean Baker will produce the project which will be filmed on location in Africa.
