Run Rabbit Run
Elisabeth Moss will re-team with Daina Reid (“The Handmaid’s Tale”) on the supernatural thriller “Run Rabbit Run”. Hannah Kent wrote the script while Anna McLeish and Sarah Shaw will produce.
Moss plays a fertility doctor forced to make sense of the increasingly strange behavior of her young daughter Mia and must soon challenge her own beliefs and confront a ghost from her past. [Source: THR]
Dear Evan Hansen
Kaitlyn Dever (“Booksmart,” “Unbelievable”) is in talks for the female lead in “Wonder” director Stephen Chbosky’s movie musical adaptation of stage play “Dear Evan Hansen”. Ben Platt is expected to reprise his stage role as the title character. Music and lyrics are by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul from their work on the stage production, while Marc Platt and Adam Siegel will produce. [Source: Deadline]
Joika
Thomasin McKenzie (“Leave No Trace,” “Jojo Rabbit”) will lead “Joika,” a biopic of American ballet dancer Joy Womack to be penned and directed by James Napier Robertson (“The Dark Horse”)
Womack was the second-only American to graduate from the Bolshoi Ballet Academy, and her intense training pushed her limits of dedication, determination and sacrifice. She went on to become the principal dancer with the Universal Ballet in Korea followed by a return to America. [Source: Deadline]

Allison Janney and John Hawkes will star alongside Andrea Riseborough in the true story inspired “To Leslie” which will be helmed by Michael Morris (“Better Call Saul,” “Bloodline”). Riseborough plays a single mother living in West Texas whose life only gets worse after she wins the lottery.
Years later, she hits rock bottom but finds the strength to rebuild her life. Hawkes plays a lonely motel manager who takes a chance on Leslie. Janney plays a mean-spirited ex-biker who refuses to let Leslie live down her past. [Source: THR]
