After delaying the first PS5 video game showcase last week due to global events, Sony PlayStation has now announced that the showcase will take place this week.
Specifically the event gets underway on Thursday, June 11th at 1pm US-PST, 4pm US-EST, 9pm BST & the following day at 6am AU-EST.
The company has also updated the original announcement to offer details on what’s to come – namely a pre-taped program broadcast at 1080p and 30fps.
The reasoning this was done was to “ease the show’s production process during a time when many of our team and developers are working from home”. The final games on PS5 are expected to target 4K and 60fps.
