“L.A.’s Finest” Season 2 Abruptly Delayed

“Bad Boys” spin-off series “L.A.’s Finest” was set to launch the first part of its second season on Spectrum today. Now, Variety has confirmed that the season is being delayed to an unspecified later date in 2020.

Gebrielle Union stars as Syd Burnett, a police detective with a complicated past who relocates to Los Angeles from Miami and finds an odd-couple partner in Nancy McKenna (Jessica Alba). Jerry Bruckheimer Television produces the series.

News of the delay comes less than a month after it was announced that Fox had acquired the broadcast rights to both seasons of the show with plans to begin airing it this fall. The delay of the new season is not expected to affect Fox’s airing.
