Five months after our first look and just two months before release, the full trailer has arrived for Christopher Nolan’s new global espionage thriller “Tenet”.
Shot on a mixture of IMAX and 70mm, the $205 million-budgeted film stars the likes of John David Washington, Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Kenneth Branagh, Michael Caine, Dimple Kapadia and Clemence Poesy.
Filmed across seven countries (Denmark, Estonia, India, Italy, Norway, UK, US), plot specifics are under wraps though it has drawn comparisons to “Inception,” this time it’s time manipulation rather than dream manipulation, and is Nolan’s most expensive and ambitious feature to date.
“Tenet” is still listed as a July 17th theatrical release – aiming to be the first major studio release since the coronavirus pandemic shutdown – but the new trailer doesn’t list a date so that could well shift. It definitely makes a point though of saying its ‘coming to theaters’.
