Cassian Andor Series
A new report suggests that Jimmy Smits and Alistair Petrie are both in talks to reprise their “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” roles in the Cassian Andor TV series coming to Disney+. Smith played Bail Organa in both the Star Wars prequels and “Rogue One” while Petrie was in the latter as General Draven of the Rebel Alliance. They join other returnees like Diego Luna, Genevieve O’Reilly and Alan Tudyk. [Source: Bespin Bulletin]
One Day at a Time
Lin-Manuel Miranda, Gloria Estefan and Melissa Fumero will all guest star in the “One Day at a Time” animated special which is slated to air June 16th on Pop TV.
The latter two will reprise their previous roles of Tia Mirtha and Estrellita respectively, while Miranda will be making his debut on the series which he vowed to help save when it was dumped by Netflix. The special will center around Penelope’s conservative cousin Estrellita, Tia Mirtha, and Tio Juanito (Miranda) coming to visit. [Source: Variety]
Scott Free
Prolific filmmaker Ridley Scott and his Scott Free Productions label have closed a first-look television deal with Apple. Under the multi-year deal, Scott Free will develop global TV projects for Apple TV+ with Scott, David Zucker, Clayton Krueger and Jordan Sheehan acting as executive producers.
Scott Free has been responsible for some highly acclaimed TV series of recent years including “The Good Wife,” “The Good Fight,” “The Man in the High Castle,” and “The Terror” – winning 22 Emmys along the way. Scott will make his TV directorial debut on the HBO Max series “Raised by Wolves” and is set to serve as executive producer on FX’s series adaptation of Don Winslow’s “Cartel” trilogy. Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich
Netflix has premiered the trailer for its true crime documentary series “Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich” premiering on May 27th. Filmmaker Lisa Bryant, documentarian Joe Berlinger, and author James Patterson among others executive produce with Bryant directing the four-part docuseries.
The mysterious tycoon was arrested in 2019 after being accused of abusing women and underage girls for decades, along with assembling a network of enablers to help carry out and cover up his crimes. With their frightening first-hand accounts, Epstein’s accusers are the leading voices to this.

AMC has released a new U.S. trailer for “Quiz,” the Stephen Frears-directed three-part limited series about an infamous cheating scandal on “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?”. Michael Sheen, Matthew Macfadyen and Sian Clifford co-star.
“Quiz” tells the extraordinary and sensational story of how Charles and Diana Ingram attempted an ‘audacious heist’ on the quiz show by cheating their way to a million pounds. They stood trial for conspiring by coughing during the recording to signify the correct answers to multiple-choice questions.
