A new behind-the-scenes photo from James Cameron’s “Avatar” sequels has been released, the shot offering. first look at returning lead actors Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana along with new cast members Kate Winslet and Cliff Curtis.
In the photo, all four are taking a break from shooting an underwater performance capture in a 900,000 gallon tank built specifically for the sequels. The balls you see are there to stop light spillage into the water which can interfere with the motion capture elements.
Edie Falco, Michelle Yeoh, Vin Diesel, Jemaine Clement, and Oona Chaplin join the cast alongside other returnees Joel David Moore, Dileep Rao, Stephen Lang, Matt Gerald, and Sigourney Weaver.
The first of the four “Avatar” sequels arrives December 17th 2021.
