Blake Lively To Lead Netflix’s “Magna Carta”

Netflix has acquired the rights to the post-apocalyptic thriller “Dark Days at the Magna Carta” which has “The Shallows” and “A Simple Favor” actress Blake Lively attached to star in and produce.

The character-driven narrative follows a woman who must take extremes measures during a catastrophic event going in order to save her family. Said event is not a contagion, but a world-altering event and will deal with themes of isolation and strength of family.

Michael Paisley penned the script which also has Kate Vorhoff, Dan Cohen and “Stranger Things” executive producer Shawn Levy attached as producer. The project is said to be a potential trilogy launcher, no word on a director as yet.
