“Star Wars” star Daisy Ridley is in talks to join the film adaptation of Camilla Grebe’s 2015 psychological thriller novel “The Ice Beneath Her” at STX.
The story follows a criminal profiler brought in to help solve a murder case that bares a resemblance to an unsolved murder a decade ago. She’s tasked with tracking the charismatic, playboy CEO of a store chain who has mysteriously gone missing, and soon crosses paths with another woman, the playboy’s former lover.
“Ready or Not” helmers Radio Silence (aka Matt Bettinelli-Olpin, Tyler Gillett and Chad Villella) will direct and produce while Caitlin Parrish (“Supergirl”) will write the screenplay adaptation. Andrew Lazar is producing along with Bettinelli-Olpin, Gillett and Villella.
