Disney has announced they planned to celebrate May 4th (aka. Star Wars Day) next week by going two months early with a major title.
Not only do we have the already announced doco-series about the making of “The Mandalorian” hitting that day, but the studio has also revealed they will release the J.J. Abrams-directed “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” on the service a good two months ahead of schedule.
As a result, the entire Skywalker Saga will be available on Disney+ from that day along with “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story”. “Solo: A Star Wars Story” is the sole film of the saga not on the service, but is expected to make the jump when its current licensing agreement with Netflix runs out.
