M:I-7, M:I-8, “War,” “Paw” & “Dragons” Set Dates

Paramount Pictures has shaken up its release schedule again with numerous new dates for films set to open next year and beyond.

The seventh “Mission: Impossible” will now open four months later on November 19th 2021, rather than July 23rd 2021. The planned eighth film in that series has also had a similar delay with it moving back from August 5th 2022 to November 4th 2022.

That delay makes sense. The seventh film was one of the first productions to be impacted by the coronavirus which pushed back the start of filming. The delay accommodates that push back.

Next up, the Chris Pratt-led “The Tomorrow War” will now open July 23rd 2021, the “Paw Patrol” movie will launch on August 20th 2021, the new “Dungeons & Dragons” has been delayed six months to May 27th 2022, and the horror thriller “Spell” has been pulled from the schedule altogether.
