While most of the world isn’t in the mood for April Fool’s Day, a non-official Twitter account for the upcoming HBO Max streaming service has pulled off the best gag of the day with a cold as ice serve to those demanding the ‘SnyderCut’.
The account posted a one-sheet for a “Justice League: Snyder Cut” film saying the full 214 minute-cut in 4K resolution is coming to HBO Max next month, adding: “You asked for it and we listened. We’re releasing the Zack Snyder’s Justice League as a launch title for HBO Max on May 2020”.
Of course the timing of the announcement was made to coincide with the joke day and already has led to a bunch of confusion, division and admiration online. It also follows on from an ‘Honest Trailer’ for the SnyderCut earlier today that’s arguably the best thing that channel has done in a while. You can check out both the tweet and honest trailer below:
