“Little Britain” Revival Has Been Discussed

Actor Matt Lucas has revealed he and David Walliams have entered talks with Netflix to reboot the classic BBC sketch comedy series “Little Britain”.

In an interview with BBC Radio 2, Lucas revealed that the pair recently sat down with the streaming service about the possibility of making further episodes, saying ‘it might happen’.

Lucas and Walliams co-created the show which last aired 14 years ago. Both have since gone on to successful acting careers of their own. Lucas tells Deadline:

“We had a conversation with them a while ago and so the seed was planted in our head. We’d love to bring it back in some way and at some point. We’re both quite busy boys, but we’re speaking often and one idea was to maybe do a stage show of it again. It will come back in some form, we’re just still figuring out what that will be.”

This follows on from reports in the British tabloids that the pair were reportedly offered £3 million to revive the series. The original show aired from 2003-2006 and Netflix has all the past seasons and specials in the UK.
