Going into today, it seemed Warners was one of the few studios whose film shoots were seemingly unaffected by the coronavirus pandemic.
That looks to have changed as a reliable source has indicated to Dark Horizons this morning that staff on Matt Reeves’ “The Batman” have been advised they are going on hiatus with production suspended for two weeks. Plans are at present to resume on March 30th.
Warner Bros. Pictures and Reeves himself, who has been active on Twitter where he has teased first looks at the movie, have yet to announce any shutdown or comment about it as of yet. Warners also has both “The Matrix 4” and “King Richard” in production at present.
UPDATE: Warners has spoken with The Wrap and confirmed the news, adding “the studio will continue to monitor the situation closely”.
