“Horizon Zero Dawn” Is Coming To PC

The long standing rumors are confirmed – Guerrilla Games’ 2017 PS4 award-winning exclusive title “Horizon Zero Dawn” will finally be coming to the PC this Summer and a Steam page for it is already online.

Sony Interactive Entertainment’s Head of Worldwide Studios, Hermen Hulst, confirmed the news on PlayStation Blog and says: “Yes, I can confirm that Horizon Zero Dawn is coming to PC this summer. There will be more information coming from Guerrilla, from the new studio directors soon.”

The title marks the latest in a series of former Playstation exclusive titles making their way to PC in recent years including celebrated titles like “Journey,” “Heavy Rain,” “Death Stranding” and “Detroit Become Human”.

Asked why PlayStation is looking to bring the game to PC, Hulst says: “I think it’s important that we stay open to new ideas of how to introduce more people to PlayStation, and show people maybe what they’ve been missing out on.”

So does this mean Sony’s other acclaimed exclusive titles like “The Last of Us,” “Marvel’s Spider-Man,” “God of War,” “Bloodborne” or the “Uncharted” and “Infamous” franchises will also be making the jump?

Don’t count on it says Hulst: “To maybe put a few minds at ease, releasing one first-party AAA title to PC doesn’t necessarily mean that every game now will come to PC. In my mind, Horizon Zero Dawn was just a great fit in this particular instance. We don’t have plans for day and date [PC releases], and we remain 100% committed to dedicated hardware.”

The news comes ahead of both the launch of the PS5 later this year, a console recently rumored to include 13.3TFLOPS of power compared to the new Xbox’s 12TFLOPS, and talk of a potential “Horizon” sequel which will likely be a PS5 exclusive.
