Goran Visnjic Is Dracula In “The Brides”

Former “Timeless” and “ER star Goran Visnjic has been cast as Dracula in “Riverdale” and “Sabrina” showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa’s new vampire drama series “The Brides” on ABC and Warner Bros. TV.

The contemporary reimagining of Bram Stoker’s tale centers on a trio of empowered, immortal women — the brides of Dracula — and the things they do to maintain wealth, prestige legacy and their non-traditional family.

In this version, Visnjic’s immortal Dracula turned each of his three brides, but has now been left for dead at his destroyed castle in the Carpathian mountains while his three wives, Cleo (Gina Torres), Lily (Katherine Reis), Renee (to be cast) flee to start a new life together.

Chis Mason and Sophia Tatum co-star while Greg Berlanti is executive producing. Visnjic most recently played Nikola Tesla in an episode of “Doctor Who” and has a recurring role as Alastair Adana in the second season of Amazon’s “The Boys” later this year.
