Couture Offers “Expendables 4” Update

When it comes to updates on a potential fourth “The Expendables” movie, it’s usually Sylvester Stallone who has offered the odd brief bit of news as to if the action franchise might return.

So far there hasn’t been much movement it seems. This week though, Stallone’s co-star and UFC champ Randy Couture has given one. Couture has played demolitions expert Toll Road in all three previous films and is intent on returning for the next one which has been stuck in development for years.

Couture, out promoting his new film “Final Kill,” was recently asked by The Action Elite if the fourth “Expendables” is still alive and responded:

“It is a thing! I got a script last year and really enjoyed reading it. It was very well done, but where we are on the production scale and getting it moving, I’m not sure. There are a lot of things going on behind the scenes with the producer to make a film that big, so I’m hoping this spring we get the greenlight, but I’m not hearing anything definitive right now.”

The previous three films opened in 2010, 2012 and 2014 with the third one famously leaking online several weeks before it hit cinemas.
