HBO has released the first trailer for “I Know This Much Is True,” a new limited series which hails from “Blue Valentine” and “The Place Beyond the Pines” director Derek Cianfrance and which stars Mark Ruffalo as identical twins.
Based on the book by Wally Lamb, the story is described as a family saga that follows the parallel lives of identical twin brothers in a story of betrayal, sacrifice and forgiveness set against the backdrop of 20th-century America.
Kathryn Hahn, Melissa Leo, Juliette Lewis, Rosie O’Donnell, Archie Panjabi, and Imogen Poots co-star in the series which debuts on April 27th on HBO. Ruffalo is coming off raves for his work in Todd Haynes’ “Dark Waters”.
