“The Umbrella Academy” series creator Steve Blackman and his Borderline Entertainment production banner have signed a four-year overall deal with Netflix.
Blackman will write and produce series and other projects exclusively for Netflix, while continuing to serve as showrunner and executive producer on the Dark Horse Comics-based “Umbrella Academy” series which launches its second season soon.
Blackman’s other recent credits include “Altered Carbon” and FX’s “Fargo” which he both executive produced. Netflix previously signed a first-look deal with Dark Horse Entertainment back in May.
