Netflix Adds Daily Top 10 Most Popular List

Netflix is reportedly rolling out a new feature that will add a row to every account highlighting the Top 10 ‘most popular’ programs on the service within the country you’re watching from.

Based on the company’s own (and private) internal data, the aim is for this new row to provide a quick and easy way for folks to see what is popular and what they may want to watch next. It will boast its “own special design” and will be updated every day.

The position of the row will also vary depending on how relevant the shows and films are to you. Content that ranks in the Top 10 will also be given a ‘badge’ so it is differentiated from other shows and films on the service. How the Top 10 is calculated is unclear.

The new row will be rolled out worldwide today and has just gone up in the United States. On its launch day in the United States:

Top 10 Movies: The Last Thing He Wanted, The Foreigner, To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You, Girl on the Third Floor, A Bad Moms Christmas, Mr. Right, A Haunted House, The Other Guys, A Shaun the Sheep Movie: Farmageddon, American Assassin

Top 10 TV Shows: Love Is Blind, Narcos: Mexico, Locke & Key, Babies, Better Call Saul, Gentefied, The Stranger, The Chef Show, The Office, I Am A Killer.
