“Maze Runner” Scribe Pens “Bright” Sequel

“The Maze Runner” trilogy scribe T.S. Nowlin will reportedly co-write the screenplay for David Ayer’s “Bright” sequel at Netflix, joining the already hired Evan Spiliotopoulos.

Discussing Film broke the news, saying the film is currently targeting a start of filming in the Summer, but is dependent on scheduling for Ayer and actors Will Smith and Joel Edgerton.

Bryan Unkeless and Eric Newman will produce. The first film, set in an alternate reality of the city of Los Angeles where humans co-exist with magical creatures, was penned by Max Landis and was released on Netflix in 2017.
