Production has officially begun on Netflix’s “Halston,” a Ryan Murphy-produced limited series starring Ewan McGregor as fashion icon Roy Halston Frowick who revolutionized American fashion in the 1970s.
The series also stars Rory Culkin as Joel Schumacher, Krysta Rodriguez as Liza Minnelli, Rebecca Davan as Else Peretti, David Pittu as Joe Eula, Sullivan Jones as Ed Austin, and Gianfranco Rodriguez as Victor Hugo.
Murphy, Dan Minahan, Christine Vachon, Alexis Martin Woodall and Pamela Koffler will all produce the series and Murphy used the opportunity to tease his cast with a three-part music video on Instagram made of costume test videos and set to ‘Love is the Drug’.
No air date has yet been announced for the series which will likely hit at either year’s end or in the first half of 2021.
