Just in time for the home video release of “Spider-Man: Far from Home,” Sony Pictures has officially launched TheDailyBugle.net which offers ‘news’ reports set within the film’s world along with a new video message from J. Jonah Jameson (J.K. Simmons) decrying the menace of Spidey.
Simmons’ return to a new variation on a role he previously played in the Sam Raimi-directed films was first seen in the mid-credits scene of ‘Far from Home’. Now he’s back with some more video that was obviously shot with the original cameo, along with ‘news’ reports about Night-Monkey and Hydro-Man.
It has been suggested more videos with Simmons’ character are also going to be on the way closer to the disc release on October 1st. With the Disney-Sony split over “Spider-Man,” we may see the J. Jonah Jameson character being more involved in the next film in the series.
