The one and only Kevin Kline is teaming with Melissa McCarthy, Chris O’Dowd, Timothy Olyphant and more on the Ted Melfi-directed dramedy “The Starling” for Limelight.
Matt Harris pens the film in which McCarthy and O’Dowd play a married couple trying to rebuild their relationship after suffering a tragedy.
While the husband heads off to deal with his grief in recovery, she tries to heal in the real world – one that becomes surreal when she grows a beautiful garden in their backyard only to find herself repeatedly attacked by a starling that has built a nearby nest.
She turns to help from a psychiatrist-turned-veterinarian (Kline) with baggage all his own and he ends up making a larger impact on her life. Daveed Diggs, Skyler Gisondo, Loretta Devine, Laura Harrier, Rosalind Chao and Kimberly Quinn co-star in the project which has just begun filming. Melfi, Quinn, Dylan Sellers and Chris Parker are producing.
