Jared Leto is in early talks to play the villain opposite Denzel Washington and Rami Malek in crime thriller “The Little Things” at Warner Bros. Pictures.
Washington plays Deke, a burned-out Californian deputy sheriff who teams with Baxter, a crack L.A.P.D. detective (Malek), to reel in a wily serial killer (Leto).
Deke has a nose for the ‘little things’ which proves eerily accurate, but his willingness to circumvent rules embroils Baxter in a soul-shattering dilemma. Deke is also wrestling with a dark secret from his past.
John Lee Hancock (“The Blind Side,” “The Highwaymen”) is on board to write and direct the film which aims to begin shooting this fall.
