“I Know What You Did…” Gets A TV Remake

“The Conjuring” and “Aquaman” director James Wan has reportedly been quietly location scouting over the past week for the pilot of a TV remake of the 1997 slasher film “I Know What You Did Last Summer” at Amazon Studios.

Jim Gillespie helmed the original film about four young friends (Jennifer Love Hewitt, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Ryan Phillippe, Freddie Prinze Jr.) bound by a tragic accident are reunited when they find themselves being stalked by a hook-wielding maniac in their small seaside town.

Prolific producer Neal H. Moritz, who produced the original, has signed a new three-year overall deal with Sony Pictures Television for his Original Film banner and new “young adult horror series” will be one of the first projects under that pact.

Shay Hatten is writing the pilot.
